The oppressive gale drove numbness into my mind. Too many cold nights with a dark reality bore in on me. There were times in my life when there was nothing but the persistent low moan of a cold, relentless wind, and the endless hours of an uncaring night. In those times, I huddled in my bleak, shuttered dwelling. It kept me from death, but separated me from life. I had forgotten. I had forgotten there could be the fresh light of a new spring day. I had forgotten there could be a tomorrow that could be different than the present day; that there could be a tomorrow that brings forth the green shoot and that gives rise to the budded flower. I had forgotten that day to come now exists in some land beyond an ocean far. There was an unseen possibility, had I been open to possibilities. I see that now, in looking back. As the Psalmist David said: "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say 'Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,' even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you." See the new day's light in the darkest hour of the night, in the dimmest hour of the surrounding storm. And if you see it, show it to someone who does not see, whose tired and weary mind has forgotten, or whose mind this day has not considered possibilities. Fix that dawn in your thoughts. It was so special to see both of my parents in tears as they watched their children grow up in pictures before their eyes! I loved the way you made Estania's part set aside from the rest--that was the part that really got them! The music was beautiful. My mom kept blubbering, "What song is that?" I don't know how you did such a beautiful job with the video in such a short time. I really appreciate your doing it so quickly. You have a wonderful gift, and I thank God that you are using it to create such sentimental memories. I hope that I can find my niche like that in an area that I love.
